How to put it on
On: hold the strap in front of you with the pull-tab facing away, slide your arms through the two loops like a backpack, pull it up over your shoulders and shrug it into place. The X sits between your shoulder blades.
Off: reach back, pull the tab in the middle of the X and slip your arms out.
First days: it takes a few tries, then it becomes second nature. Start with an hour or two at a time and wear it while you work, walk or scroll.

My sister sent the photos from Sunday. I zoomed in on myself and went quiet.
Everyone else was standing in the sun, laughing. I was the one at the end with my shoulders folded forward and my head pushed out, like I was still bent over my laptop.
I sat up straight right there on the couch. Ten minutes later I caught myself in the black screen of my phone, slumped again.
I didn’t want a brace. I’d had one: beige, four velcro straps, visible through every T-shirt. It lasted a week in the drawer.
I just wanted to look like myself again in the next photo.

The solution
One stretch X that reminds your shoulders where they belong.
AXLA is a single piece of soft, black stretch band. Two wide loops go over the front of your shoulders and cross in an X between your shoulder blades. When you sit or stand tall, you barely feel it. When your shoulders start to roll forward, the bands stretch and give you a light pull back, a reminder rather than a cage, so you sit up on your own. There are no buckles, no velcro and nothing to adjust: the size is sewn in, so it fits the same way every time you put it on. The bands are about three inches wide to spread the pull over your shoulders, the fabric stretches in four directions and breathes, and at 260 g it disappears under a T-shirt, a blouse or a blazer.

Trying to remember lasts ten minutes. A buckle brace lasts a week in the drawer.

Why “just sit up straight” never sticks
You can’t remember something you don’t notice.
Nobody slumps on purpose. You sit up, open your laptop or your phone, and within minutes your attention is on the screen and your shoulders drift forward. You only notice later, in a photo or a reflection. Willpower can’t fix something you don’t feel happening. AXLA makes you feel it: a light pull across the shoulders the moment you start to fold forward, all day, without anyone seeing it.

FAQ
Can people see it under my clothes?
Under a T-shirt, shirt, blouse, blazer or sweater it’s hard to spot: it’s one thin black stretch piece with no buckles or plates. Under a very thin white top you may see a faint X, so many people wear it over a camisole or under a darker layer.
Which size should I choose?
Go by shoulder width first, then weight and chest (see the size guide above). Broad shoulders or a thicker build? Size up. If it’s not right, we exchange it for free within 30 days.
Can I adjust it?
No, and that’s on purpose. There are no buckles or velcro to loosen during the day: the size is sewn in, so it fits the same way every time. That’s why picking the right size matters.
Will it feel tight under my arms?
It should feel snug, like a light backpack, not pinching. If it cuts in under your arms, the size is too small: we exchange it for free.
How long should I wear it?
Start with an hour or two at a time, at the desk, on a walk or while you scroll, and build up as it feels comfortable. Take it off to sleep.
Does it do the work for my muscles?
No. It doesn’t lock you in place. It gives a light pull back when you start to slump, so you sit up yourself. Many people combine it with moving more and a few back exercises.
Is it for men too?
Yes. It comes in five sizes, S to XXL, for women and men.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash in cold water with mild soap and let it air dry flat. That’s why many people keep two: one to wear, one in the wash.
Is it a medical device?
No. AXLA is an everyday posture strap that reminds you to sit and stand tall. It doesn’t treat any condition. If you have back, neck or shoulder problems, ask your doctor first.
When will my order arrive?
Shipping is free and tracked across the US. Orders usually ship within 1–2 working days and arrive within 5–9 working days.
